STEMbassadors Program
xxx
The STEMbassadors program providesájuniors and seniorsáwho have previously participated in the ninth- and/or tenth-grade STEMáprogram with an opportunity toáfurther their involvement in key areas of leadership, marketing and development.

STEMbassadors are formally trained as peer mentors and receive mentee assignments.

STEMbassadorsásupport STEM underclassmen in the form ofátutoring in core content areas and project-based learning experiences. STEMbassadorsáassistáin the design, planning and executionáof key events such as project days and the STEM Expo.áSTEMbassadorsáplay a key role in showcasing the program to visiting teams from fellow school districts andáprofessional organizations/businesses.

For example, at the 2015 STEM Expo, 140 freshmen & sophomores presented exhibits, and STEM upperclassmen were tapped as student ambassadors for the industry professionals who attended. The STEM upperclassmen showed the professionals around, talked about the program, and introduced them to the STEM Expo participants.

STEMbassadors can earn two elective credits each year for this experience.
